Sweetie Dawling, you can't save the world so don't try ____________________________________________________________________________ July, 2005 Welcome to my welcome matWipe your feet, come in & stay awhile. My name is Mike, my alias is Henry Silva. I was born In Hollywood, California in 1969 at Queen Of Angels Hospital (perfect hospital for a gay boy to be born in huh?) & was raised in North Long Beach.
Growing up I was rather shy but when I "came out" I did so with a bang. I did the whole Hollywood club scene for years (& got so burned out on it) & for a long time I wore make-up & some people were surprised to find out that I was a guy.
In my late 20's I moved to Orange County where things were more peaceful, however it was still California.
I moved to Anaheim when I was around 32 & that's where my little dog Rocky & I met. It's also where he was run over by a horrible witch in a Buick & paralyzed. I was told by several vets to just have him put down but I couldn't do it & after a month long stay in the doggie hospital Rocky came home & started the long journey to recovery. Prayer, Love & really warm water therapy works wonders because despite every doctor he had telling me he'd never walk again today he walks, runs, jumps & climbs the stairs to my apartment like a champ! He's a happy spirit & a great companion, he's my baby.
My opinion of California is not a good one. Too many of the people that live there have just turned it to crap & an unsafe place to live.
35 years old I move to Utah to a small town called Tooele. It's quiet here & when the sun goes down it's dark. I like living here for several reasons... the quiet, the weather, the atmosphere, the scenery, I feel safe, etc. It is really beautiful here, the mountains are amazing! This evening we had a lightening storm, funny thing my friend Robyn said we would.
Rocky really loves it here as well, he's made some new friends (as have I) & he really loves the comfort of his new home. Funny thing though, snowmen scare the crap out of him & he's not so thrilled with the thunder either. All in all though he is at peace here.
